My "new" FE390 passed the ultimate test; that is following a little kid around the forest at 15 - 20 km/h (my youngest on his 2000 KTM 50) without overheating or succumbing to fuel vapour lock. The pump has been upgraded, the bike has a fan and I am also running 'Engine Ice' as coolant which I have sworn by in my other bikes as well.

I know it sounds funny, but riding around slow results in very little air being pushed by the radiators, I have witnessed by buddy's 450 XC overheat doing the same thing.

Anyone that's gotten stuck behind me can attest to the fact.

I hear you Schwim. I'm just happy to be riding. There's no point riding too fast and killing yourself, it'll spoil an otherwise good ride.
