Ok I know this goes in the wanted classified, but I am desparate. Sethro is going to sell me his stock muffler, but I need the connector pipe to the muffler. More specifically between the shock and the muffler. If anyone has one of these connector pipes I would be super interested in buying. Thanks.

The original exhaust is not for a Husaberg from the best I can tell.....only mounts to one hanger point....looking to get something that safely mounts up as it should.

It would really help if you could clarify which muffler, which connector pipe and which bike....

All the best,
Simon

Sorry about that, got ahead of myself....02 FX 650, I will be using a stock muffler, and I need the connector pipe that fits up to the muffler from the exhaust fitting at the shock.

There was a bit of a change in 02 and some were part way through the year. Is this the long muffler with a carbon fiber end cap? Could you confirm with a photo?

If it is the one I'm thinking of I can help you out - the one used in 01 and part of 02.

All the best,
Simon

Let me get this straight. You are going to buy Sethro's muffler from his 07 FE650 to put on your 02 FX650?

The exhaust systems are completely different for those two years, from the headers to the end cap. If you try to mix/match parts, you're in for a world of frustration unless you are a fabricator. You will be better off using all 2001/2002 parts me thinks.

I have a complete 06 650 exhaust but the mounting locations are not the same.

RE: Re: Someone Help......WTB

FWIW what is the name of that Dutch guy in New Mexico who bought the stock of burned Husabergs?

If someone remembers, you should give them a call.

I guess the mufflers are worthless but the pipes have to still be good (since they are built to sustain waaaay higher temperature).

Sorry, I forgot his name. I bought my replacement rocker cover from him last year.

I give up....I am jumping the bike off a cliff so no one on God's green earth can possibly use 1 single part on it. I hate this bike....not Husabergs.....just this frickin bike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: Re: Someone Help......WTB

Don't give up just now. Just wait. You may be able to find the pipes at this dealer and then an exhaust from someone who replaced the stock exhaust with an aftermarket.

True what Logjump says: it won't fit. Unless you have access to a CNC shop. And even, a machinist would charge you a bundle.

Just keep looking for a little while. Go to eBay, advanced search, select worldwide auctions, type Husaberg and see. Lots of parts in Europe as well. If you pay the price, I don't see why a Brit or a German would not ship it to you.

I had a bike with an exploded engine last year, an oily mess all over the place, and I just took my time and fixed all the little issues one by one.

now, now, now, i think you need a little time away from each other. 8)
perhaps you should drop her off at my house in lake montezuma.

(maybe we can fab up something with the big gun can off my old 98 400)

dominic, afaik they do not. i know the mounts are different. but the only 02 ktm i was familiar with had a big gun on it

Ned....I might just drop it off and leave it there.

I have never had a bike that has such problems. The only reason I am trying to do is save some money....I haved done nothing but spend money on this bike and I seriously have only rode the bike a total of 15 minutes since I bought it in April. I am not joking.

Seriously I am giong to sell it as soon as I get the exhaust on it anyway....so if someone wants it without an exhaust, at least without a muffler let me know......As it sits right now $1600. Seriously....$1600.....Has a GPR stab, Renthal bars, Sparks stator, brand new Maxxis tires(still have the nubs on them). I have a title. Come get this thing. I will trade as well. Get me out of this hell.

drag that sucker down here and we'll see what we can do with it. 928-300-9132

Sure if you don't mind, come by and get the sucker. Maybe it will fly out of your truck on the way back down.

Seriously, if you want and don't mind I would appreciate it very much. I will try to give you a call, but I am still in clinic......928-660-2650.

I don't live more than 10 minutes from Northland Motorsports out by the Mall. I don't have a trailer or a way to get the bike to Flag Motorsports.

I will try to give you a call.
