Mr Nice Guy told me: 09 FE450 and 570 as enduro only, but official SM kit will be available. FS650 same as 08 (probably with another few farkles) but with EFI :?:

But, to be sure and feel safe, I just ordered black 08 FS650 with Ti pipes.

Next year will pick up new one for sure ... must try new engine first.

Cheers, Goran

i eared the same over here, just not sure about what will happen with the 650.
i am just scared it will be th end for big bore single cilinder.
you done wll buing an 08, might be the last one, also in the uk they are selling them for peanuts, for some reason

a) buy now 08 FS650 for peanuts and put them in the cellar (for future use)

b) in 2010 (or late `09) buy new Husaberg with KTM LC4-690 engine (and Husaberg own chassis). It will be maybe 20-25 kg heavyer than FS, but new LC4 is mighty engine. Ask me how I know 8)

c) sell your big T and do a) AND b)

Simple as that!

Cheers, Goran

no much difference between my 05 and an 08 650, no point to buy another one.
my 05 is well tricky, will stick with that.

the new 690, didnt try it, and even being powerfull and reliable,it's still a road engine, complitely different from what a 650 berg is
the idea of 690 into a berg chassie doesn't attract me at all

could nt sell my tuono, i use it to commute, and every summer i go down to holigan the alps  it has lots of power and it is addictive...

just dont wanna believe the 650 is gone forever

Yes, it`s tricky. OK.

Uh, when you put this engine in 690 Rally, it is very race oriented ... and with H-berg chassis ... well ... we shall see!

Tried few times, but prefer SuperDuke. OK.

Easy mate, it`s still here :D

i guess we shall wait and see what happen ...one thing is sure, husaberg will loose their caracteristics/charm, they will be ktm with husaberg written on it.

tried a super duke too,my mate with a SD and i rode all the way from london to croatia. it is light and agile, but way underpowered.

btw in juin i will be coming to ride the very fine adriatic magistrale in croatia.
done it last summer, unbelivable, one of the best road i ever ridden, all the way down to zader...perhaps i came and say hello gorane

Huh ... some KTM`s are already Husabergs painted in orange ... to tell the truth!
But, lets wait for a while ...

I`m still eyeballing SuperDuke!

Juny is generaly the best month for adriatic magistrale, second half of juny especially!
Drop me a line on PP, so I can send you my phone number, before you come to Zagreb.

Cheers, Goran

The way i look at it. They are already getting watered down. I look over my 08 FS650E and it has KTM stamped all over it. But it will force me to buy some carbon fibre to get rid of the KTM stamps.

yes, thats also true, husabergs being owned by ktm, have lots of parts in common, but i would say the main parts of the bike like frame and engine are proper husaberg heritage
actually when ktm bought the bergs, they copyed the motor and made their very famous 450/520 single cams
