Its probably a bit like voting in political elections

in UK & Aussie every one does it since it's compulsory, in the USA only about 20% actually vote even though they can.

where the did you hear that from re the UK :lol:

dont think its as bad as some countrys but im sure there were more that didn't than did vote in the last elections. We got one coming 6th may.

Actually, in the 2008 election the voter turn out in the US was around 63%. Still pitiful to say the least. I think it should be compulsory myself, believe that things would be a lot different if that were to happen here. While I was doing some research on this the voter turnout demographic in relationship to the level of education vs. voter turn out was interesting. Those with Post Graduate degree's had the highest turn out as compared with those who had no high school degree.

You Auzzies should be proud with your 95% voter turn out!!!
