so i just bought a 2010 fe 450 and I love it. but its acting like its running out of gas after 16 miles and wont start but there is plenty of gas in the tank.. once I top it off it starts right up. im not sure what can be the problem,, anyone have any ideas??????

The only thing I can think of is that you need the help of that extra hydrostatic pressure. Maybe check the fuelfilter before the pump assembly?

Maybe, not sure. Strange problem. Start with the simple things before buying expensive spare parts. It's not a bad thing to change the fuel filters anyway so do that first. And when you have the fuel assembly out of the tank check the lines and cables too so they are ok.
When you work on the fuel tank take care that the screws doesnt damage the threads/tank. I did that mistake and you can't fix it reliably due to the special plastic, and the new tank was expensive
