I was going to go to Moyie but a couple of riders canceled so that fell through, so I just go to Tallache and have a relaxing ride, the ride started like any other ride but after a few miles I thought that I should mix things up so I started to explore tok the first spur road that I can take reached the end turned around got back on main road toke the next spur road and rode 100 yards here is this Pick up red 67 chev camper shell as i rode by I glanced at lic. plate 7B 68T wait moment thats lic. plate of missing person
rode to a spot where I could get cell service called the sheriff yep that is
indeed the missing person vehicle said the dispatch could you show us
where? of course I said. met the Deputy and Detective toke them to the location and the Deputy and detective toke picture and did there stuff like any crime scene but no sign of the missing person once everything had
wrapped up around the P.U. all of us started to look for a this missing
person now this person have been missing since may, it just didn't look
like a happy ending, we started to search the east side of the veh. we started to follow some game trails all we could find was bear bait from last spring so we started down a skidder trail on west side of the veh.me and Deputy where scanning for anything after 200-250 yards the deputy said
look a pair of glasses and i look down a pair of reading glasses, in next
breath the deputy says there is the missing person
this poor fellow had (what to looked me) committed suicide it was pitiful
I felt so sad for him and his family God bless him I didn't feel like riding
any moore I have seen alot of things while riding deer moose bear owl
hare to name few all with enjoyment but this is downer

That's a bad story indeed but think that you did a good thing and brought closure to these folks who have been wondering where he'd been all along.

sorry for that viking, since May? that must have not been a pretty sight.

Well fellas I tried to be smart about, this when deputy said there he is I did not prosed
I know that mental images are hard erase so didn't see too much I think it would have
worst if you saw him soon after he did it, he used 444 marlin hand gun that is big gun
the bullets are the size of my pinkie finger I cant imagine what kind of damage it could do to a head, as it was mostly bones and it is a little cleaner at least thats what I saw
I feel sad for his family but also some relief in that the his family have closure

Viking,
Certainly a ride not to remember, but what would have happened if your local trails were closed due to the "new" Forest Service policies ? Seems the land grabbers are never paying attention when the offroaders do something right. You did a good thing, not very pleasant but none the less a good public service. As I tell my son you did that "Man Style"

Risky, Use it all you want. When it's time to "Man Up" it's time to "Man Up" Viking, I wish more people felt as you do, we all have responsibilities to our communities. I'm glad we got to meet in Moab. I'm fortunate to have met some real men in my life and count them as friends, wish there were more like you out there, thanks for being you
