G'day all

Does anyone here have any experience with quickshifters on the burgs?
We are going to run one(on 05 650) but rather than go through 3 types/brands to get the right one, I was hoping you may be able to offer some advice.
Thanks either way
Warren

I have been told that this product is not available in Europe, so I'm guessing thats why no one had anything to add. There is a few people playing with them for the Jap bikes in the States at the moment though so I'll keep trying. Thanks anyway and I'll let you know how it goes.
See ya

Hi normjsr,
I have yet to install any form of "quick-shifter" on a Husaberg.

I have used several options regarding such a device on a variety of motorcycles which include single cylinder offroad and multi cylinder Road Race applications.

The principal is the same as you are simply activating the kill switch circuit via a relay controlled by electronics.

I now make my own system which operates from two tiny 9 Volt Batteries.

Most systems consist of an input swith, kill relay and adjustable time controller. (50 to 100 milliseconds being the norm / adjustable being the best)

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,
Dale

What triggers the input switch? I assume it is in a replacement shift lever that can tell the kill timer when the gears are being shifted? Or is it inside the gearbox?

You can signal the controller by any number of methods.

The most expensive being a strain gage attached to or installed in the shift lever.

The least expensive being a simple brake light swith.

Kind Regards,

Can anyone recommend a shifter for the 570? I'd definitely go for the FP version but maybe there is a cheaper solution. Thanks
