I seem to recall a discussion that older plastics are not available for earlier models and my 99 600FE or what options I have. I think 94-99 are the same ? If I need to replace would generics work if originals are not available ?

I would think that spare parts have to be available for a certain number of years ?? They do for cars in Australia.

Yeah, I would lke to know where to get parts as well, Ebay has been good to me, but man...$70.00 bucks for rear wheel bearings from my local Husa shop is crazy!

If you find anywhere to get oem graphics for a late 90's model fe let me know. I need to get something graphic wise and like the factory look the best.I am pretty sure 97 - 99 are the same, but can't speak for anything older. only thing about replacement graphics is don't put them on the gas tank unless you plan on removing them after each ride. gas fumes permeate the plastic and will make your nice new graphics on the tank bubble if left on for a period of time. Ii got new graphics for my yz490 and didn't heed the instructions, (removing them off the tank after each ride) and it only took about a month to bubble. Hey skinny, we don't have a berg dealer here in ohio, maybe its a good thing we don't.......But I can throw a stone and hit the AMA museum. I just replaced my rear wheel bearings on my 400 and seals and bearings were $15 . we just got the number off the gearings and ordered them thru a mechanics suppler. If i remember right the number was 6205. they may not be from husaberg but was a heavy duty bearing and seals fit fine. if you have the bearing number napa may even have it. Take a look at my gallery and you can see the condition my bike was in when I bought it. pieces. couldn't find the swingarm pivit bolt and nut in any of the boxes the motor parts were in, got the part number from the parts manuel from this site and called the closest dealer to me. they wanted $70 for the bolt and nut. I ended up getting the measurements of the bolt from the dealer and going to a john deere dealer and getting a grade 8 hardened bolt and nut for $18 and some change. I guess what I am saying is with alittle resolve, there is usually a work around...... something like bearings will be universal, just different sizes. now a gas tank for the older models is a complete differernt story.

Thats outrageous. Try KAMAN Bearings, thats where I buy all of my bearings except for OEM custom. The Outlet I use is located in the City Of Industry Ca. 91746 on 15310 E. Valley Bl. By the way, they carry SKF bearings also.

626 961-4444

Remove the old bearing and give them a call with the bearing number.

Their Corporate web site is www.kamandirect.com

You will do better using the phone untill you surf their site enough to get around.

If they have what you need you can have them ship it to you if you are too far away. If you show up to get your bearings ask for some catalogs, they are free (make sure you ask on the phone for them befo e you go in to make sure they have the catalogsavailable that you want.

Their web site should have the listing for the Outlet nearest to you.

Regards,

Joe

Suttos in Penrith carry stock for older Bergs in Oz. Worth a try.

http://www.suttosmc.com.au/

Bearings can be loacted at any bearing/auto place. Rear wheel bearings are less than $A10 eachn and about 10 m to fit.

They've got lots of stuff. Benn helpful with my 98. Chris Sutton seems like a good guy. From what I understand they are close to Oz's oldest Berg dealer.
