Hi everyone.
I'm new to the forum and somewhat new to Husabergs.
I purchased a 2009 FE 450 last year and will be running it in the Mexican 1000 in a week or so. The issue I have is I need to add a positive on/off switch to kill the bike in an emergency. I have the usual push starter and kill buttons, but apparently this is not sufficient. Has to be a labeled switch with on and off clearly shown on the switch. Below is the actual rule.....
4.4.1 Ignition: Each vehicle must have a positive action on/off switch in good working order. The switch must be labeled “ignition” on/off and be located within easy reach of the driver and from the outside of vehicle. All electric fuel pumps with independent switches must be labeled ―fuel on/off and be within easy reach of driver and from outside of vehicle. It is highly recommended that electric fuel pumps not be independently switched. OEM keyed ignition switches are acceptable.
Anyone got any ideas on where I can get a switch that would work and also any advice on wiring would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
