hey, i want to rebuild my engine. i have an husaberg fe550 03. the engine is running fine but with a small bit of blow by so the piston is going. i dont know the hours of the bike but drivin it myself well over 100 hours. what do i need to rebuild/replace. i want to go mx with it and the frame and suspension is al rebuild en set up. now the engine. so my question is, what do i need to replace in the engine and where can i find it.

and does 05 parts for the engine fit?

that's a bad bike to MX.

The main bearings were ball but for reliability I would covert to roller mains.

The valve springs are very hard and I'd go to dual springs which cost a lot.

the 37mm inlets tulip badly.

if it is the old cam chain tensioner blade in nicotene white/yellow that is bad.

the gear selector wants to bind when you are in a hurry so many false neutrals.

The jetting is very bad. I do an easy staart kit which helps starting for the dell orto.

You'll find the valve gear very worn and there are no more new bearings to fit on the rocker arm.

I would go as far as to say; DO NOT MX THIS BIKE.
