Guys,
Sorry to be a pain and ask what may have been answered...I'm setting up to run the Delo 400 in the 550 after running 3 rides (60-80K's each) with double ester 300V and dropping the oil after each ride in order to flush out the motor....this seems to have worked well as the oil is very clean in the motor and still green after an 80K loop.

Anyways I've got a couple of questions I could use some assistance on:

a. What exact type (and weight) of Delo 400 should I run...there seems to be a few.

b. I'll do oil changes every 250K's and filters every 500 while running the Delo 400 is this all good.

c. I ride with a good mate that has an 04 525 EXC...would it be cool to run this Delo oil in the orange one..?

Thanks in advance for your assistance...While I'm at it...I've got a small crew getting together this Saturday (31st) for a ride in the MT. Mee area...pm for details if you'd like to hook up and tag along...Lots of rain this week = not much dust and loamy conditions = mucho speed...!

Cheers

its Delo 400 15 40 multigrade there is an ISO/SYN logo on the bottle that puts some people off at times, its not synthetic just a logo relating to the base stocks. OS there is also synthetic delo and we have the delo500 and delo400 in silver and gold lables.

I killed motul 300v in 3-4 hours, in my experience delo lasts about the same time as the liquid gold motul though changing it sooner is better and doable since its so cheap.

when its real hot I use 10% moreys to thicken it up. not sure if this is the GO with a 628 engine and the silver plated big end cage but the smaller pin engines like yours should be fine.

Thanks Bushie,
I'll see if I can get my hands on some...any thoughts about how it'd go in the KTM...

Cheers

should go good

I use it in everything 4 stroke

I have an old 98yz400 bought it new and ran mobil 1synth for 10, 000ks till the timing chain went south. then I switched to delo, changed it every40L of fuel used

its now at around 35000kms, engine is as new except for the timing chain and a waterpump shaft/seals, blasted valves wont even go out of spec, still has the original clutch too. its down on power a little but I can't break it so far.

tis good stuff that delo
