I bought Scott's filters for my Berg, as well as my street bike. Then I was reading a post on a web site particular to my street bike in which a seemingly knowledgable guy goes into a rant about the size of particulate matter that the Scott's will, or will not, pick up. Scott's will not pick up some of the smaller stuff that a paper filter will. In a roller bearing motor, this might not be too serious, but in a plain bearing motor, I would worry a little. This might be worry for naught, and I guess that keeping clean oil and any good filter just may be enough. The pressure that the filter keeps against the oil pump is an issue that I would like to know more about. Is it good and necessary?
