Well, here we are less than 3 weeks away from FR4 in beautiful Colorado and an opportunity to
meet and enjoy some great, like-minded people. I went out to the shop last night to start my ride prep
on the 570. It doesn't yet have a lot of hours on it, maybe 35, busy life and all that. I clean it up, change the oil,
adjust the chain, tighten things up... I've got the bike pretty much the way I want it, cool. I hit the starter
and she thumps to life and idles flawlessly. Can't wait to ride in that high altitude air filled with the scent of conifer..
Zzzzittt, dead. Turn the key off, then on, nothing. The sweet sound of a fried fuse! I pulled the seat, number 5
and number 3.
After all the years of manufacturing these things I would think KTM could do two things right, route a decent
wiring harness and supply a quality fuel pump, Bosch or similar.
I bought this new right when they were released and payed top $$ for it. This is utter bulls!#t.
Now I have to tear this fuc#@!g bike down, again, and find yet another short. The forth one!
I bought a BMW 1200 GS two months before buying the Husaberg, both being at the high end dollar wise,
of their prospective classes. The GS has been FLAWLESS. Not one issue. It runs like a Swiss watch.
It has a fuel pump and wiring harness. No shorts, nothing! On road, in the dirt, rode 400 miles one day
over the Sierra's and back two up, bitchin!
Yes, I know I'm venting, but come on, $12,000.00 and it cant keep a fuse, I wasn't even riding it! Fuc!*$g-A!
I may be coming to Gunnison with the GS! Hey Fritz, reserve a bed in the local E.R. for me!

Sorry to hear about your wiring/fuse troubles but hang in there  I too have a BMW GS but a 2005 with almost 30k miles on it. I had elect trouble with the GS when I got it due to the can bus system but eventually BMW resolved after much persistence on my part. I'd die riding it in the dirt way too heavy but it's fun for touring and twisties. Now on to the Husaberg, in the dirt a true joy and it's worth getting sorted. I had the FP issue and other small issues but like the BMW I'm going to ride this berg for a while and have found that every new bike has it's items to change, modify, fix etc. over the 1st year or so. 8)

I hear you! I am going to keep plugging away with the 'Berg but this is getting annoying and tracking
down these wiring issues is time consuming and challenges my confidence in taking the bike any
long distances; much like your concerns over your fuel pump. I am bringing the GS to Colorado anyway
so we can highway tour while we're there.
Thanks for the pep talk.
