don't know about a 380 or that 496, but the 450 does not fill in the gaps between the gearbox in the open country. In the woods the need to throttle a little more each time you up shift adds a thrill and fun speed to my 450, but in the open country that 450 gear box is too wide and gappy. I understand and rode a 550 with power to better fill the gaps, don't know about the 496 in the open or woods. In my view a 380 needs to re-define its realtionship to it's tranny gearing. I would not want to ride a HBG 380 with my 450 gearbox in the open and probably not in the trees as well.

Roy, good to see you actively posting and answering the questions before they grow into boogeymen.

For those of you who aren't familiar with Roy - during my time as a Husaberg dealer, I found Roy to be a standup guy who backed up his words with deeds.

The future's bright boys.

Let's all get out there and ride and win.

New Distributor

NO, ....Dixie Sales Company has nothing to do with the Don Knight family in Mississippi.
Dixie Sales is a very old and Reputable company originating around . BMG is still in the background . The business of Dixie was founded in 1914 and Dixie was incorporated in 1950. In 2001 the Barrett Corporation acquired 75 per cent. of Dixie and in 2005 it
acquired the remaining 25 per cent. of Dixie from Jim Starmer, the president of
Dixie. Dixie Sales is an established sales, marketing, distribution and customer service
provider based in Greensboro, North Carolina, USA. Dixie's headquarters and main warehouse are based in Greensboro, North Carolina, Dixie also operates a further three warehouses based in Florida, Tennessee and Ontario.
These are some good people.

RE: New Distributor

sounds like good things are happening, especially with the first mention of an online parts catalouge and ordering website. (in another post) Now it will awesome when our favorite parts suppliers are able to get one up and running...

New Distributor

Oops, My apologies,
I've not been in here for a long time and I was not paying attention and the old "look before you leap!" adage fell between the cracks.
I failed to notice that the post I replied to regarding the old distributor was originally posted around JAN 25th ! and that a lot of the questions were already replied to accurately. If I had seen that ,....I'd of dodged it like I dodge a stump.
My bad,....~
