Hi.
Im rebuilding my 2001 650 engine and therefor starting this thread in need for some expertise
Reason for rebuild is because the mains and big end failed.
The rest of the bearings are bad so I’m going to replace them all.
I’ll replace the HC piston & 82 stroker crank with a 05-08mod 80 stroker and a OEM piston (82030007100(II)).
I’ve also been recommended to remove the counter balancer.
The engine has the DVSK from Taffy, installed back in 2011-12.
The shims under the springs has failed. What do I replace them with?
Is there any improvements I should consider before/while assembling the engine?
