Monkey butt.

Ok.I sold my KTM,bought a berg.KTM must put their
seats on the bergs.I thought it was a little softer than
my 96KTM but today I got a sore butt pretty fast.Whats
the cure for a 02 fx470?

taller seat foam. I think Shayne(baronvonhusaberg) installed it on his bike, so you might want to drop him a pm, or wait for a reply from him if you want to find out who he got it from.

I am laughing my butt off

After all that riding we did today the only complaint is monkey butt

I figured it would be arm pump or a back ache.
I am stiff as a board, not used to riding that hard for that long I need to get my self back into shape

Guts Racing sell taller foam of different density.
They also have the original in soft model I belive.

I purchased a new foam + new seat cover from them and are very pleased, it looks good, feels good and works good.
I opted for the taller dito with slightly softer foam ... it gave me a better seating position and it's more comfy on the transports.

do they make them for 01 and up bikes? I really need taller and harder foam. i sink down in the soft stock crap and then cant get forward to turn.

I have a -02 bike so that should be cool. Not sure they have to the older bikes.

I belive they make the foam in stock and tall sizes with 3 different densitys; soft, normal (standard) and hard.

The cover was also very nice, I think one of U guys put a picture in the gallery on U'r black/blue Guts seat.

Mail or phone them otherwise, they were very cool to deal with when I ordered my seat to Sweden.

Try Rectinal cream on the ol pooper! and I wear licra bike shorts underneath my nylons. Dont laugh, it works, I havent had "monkey butt" for ages.
I hear its good for wrinkles to??????????

DESATIN diaper ointment hahahahahaha. Really, I put a Guts foam on my 2001 501 and it is great. Make sure you NEVER wear cotton drawers, they hold sweat and chafe your butt also hygine may be a factor since I dont know you that well. What are you sitting down for anyway??

where my boss keeps his head on his anatomy.So the
old shark oil ointments aren't the cure.

Cansten Cream (what women use for thrush) is a sure cure for monkey but. I always thought chaffing was due to the rubbing but the inflamation is caused apparently by a funges/bateria and the canasten cream kills it quick smart.

i am also looking to be without monkey butt. i have tried all the different kinds of cotton underwaer and they all ride up, bucnh up and cause a problem. i think the answer may be the type scully mentioned. i think there is a web site for skull wear or something like that. they wick the sweat away and that supposed to be 1/2 the problem.
also, i have gutsracing tall foam and its nice. my seat is blue now but i'm changing to yellow for the summer heat.

I bought the berg because it was an inch lower than my KTM.
If I make any changes I want to be closer to the ground.
The foam seems soft enough(not like my hard KTM),but the seat
is more narrow and gives me a wedgie like riding a 10speed bicycle.

A good quality set of Bicycle shorts has always worked at warding off Monkey Butt for me. Something like this is good and fairly cheap:

Make sure not to skimp and get a pair with a decent Chamois. :thumb:

I believe that guts can also make you up some seat foam a bit wider, call and check.

P.S. For those of you that have Guts seat covers, please give a holler out and post up some pics in the gallery. Guts site doesn't have any Berg photos and only lists black and blue color options.

...maybe you can even "Donate" a photo or two to them for their site.

ALL SEAT FOAMS CAN BE ORDERED HARDER AND
SOFTER THAN STOCK BY ADDING 'S' FOR SOFT OR
H' FOR HARD AT THE END OF THE PART #.

Why yes they do, but no I have not tried them. ...I was afraid that the gel inserts would make my butt look big. :rofl:
