i took a spring off one tonight and fitted it perfectly around the outside of a 47mm bearing. i estimate that the spring has an ID of 46.5mm.
if the spring fits inside the lip of a seal and we want one shorter i guess that pyeD etc shoulkd bring us around to a seal that's 42mm ID and a 44mm ID spring or so? thats a big ol seal!
i don't believe that fork seals have a spring in them? right?
