Hello all

Anyone out there have fitted X2 cam with Kehien carb, need some jetting comparisons. My bike has developed a rich condition at slow speed. I have the X2 on a 400 with delorto carb and the cam and carb are magic.

Has anyone tried Lineaweaver jet kit for Kehien with the X2 cam.

Fred

mild cilinderhead tuning+x2 cam +DOMA exh.

Greetings Madero.

Hello,

I am running the Lineaweaver X2 cam and also his Keihin tunning kit on my 04 550.

I also have his X2 cam in my 00 501 and have modified my Dellorto per his suggestions.

They are both perfect as can be!

Best Regards,

Joe

have you not heard of the wonderful owners doc sir?

it contains jetting figures for a FE400e with the LX2 and the keihin and with the lineweaver needle!

if you have any more questions after that then i can only say that you're trying to split the atom

BTW lads i will be off air for about 5 days now as i'm changing my USP provider. so see you soon!

regards

Taffy

Hello Mathieu

Great to here from you again. Is you accelerator pump disabled and what needle are you using.

Thanks Fred

Oh Taffy, I do have your ownwer doc down loaded for quick acesss and I saw Dale's jetting but don"t know if that is with the accelerator pump deactived or not. I will look again for all the other info you say is there.

Fred

i know two things about dale for sure. one, he likes DT and two he disconnects the APJ on all bikes.

because dale specialises in DT he perhaps may have not tried clambering a rock in first gear or a log etc.

i did. the APJ needs only work off a dead throttle in first. that's why you want a spit and a spit only foe when you whack the throttle. after this the fuel signal is strong enough to get the fuel up and metered nicely.

Taffy

hello all,
my fuel pump is NOT disabled.
Needle is OEM for 650.
My results were not good,so i am returning to OEM cam after a few hours when I changed my engine parts(over 45 hours)

A little more Hp on the middle ,but a great lost on top.

I think for enduro and cross very good, but not for me.(supermoto)

I will put the x2 cam probably in the kit (750kit) of ben B. to maintain the valve life.
So my cam is certainly not for the trash.
I personally think that engines before 2002 can benefit with the cam,but the 2004-2005not.That is my personal idea.
greetings Madero.
