As you probably read in the ride report, berger very generously offered his 470 (complete with mods and upgrades) to json as a gift from the UHE community to show our appreciation for his work at keeping this site running for our benefit. Contrary to the popular notion, this site does not make money; json is not a rich .com guy.

Many people made pledges to berger, but a few have not fulfiiled their pledge. If you are one those few that pledged, but haven't honored your pledge, please do so.

If you did not contribute, please consider doing so. berger did not receive enough pledges or money to equal the amount of money that someone would actually pay for a used 470; based upon recent eBay auctions of complete bikes. Every little bit helps. $10 or $20 each from a few more members, plus the fulfillment of the pledges made, will be appreciated and will help considerably.

If you want specific numbers of how much was pledged, and how much we are short, to gauge your level of participation, pm me or berger and we will answer all your questions.

Thanks for posting that Brian. My next real issue is shipping the bike back to Jason. If anyone would like to help out or has any connections in the shipping industry please send me a PM.

I would like to thank everybody who contributed to Moab+. This truly was an international effort. I would especially like to thank Brian (splat) and Mike (Dezduster) for all they have done to make this trip happen. It truly was an unforgettable exsperience. With what we learned on this trip the next one will be even better. I hope we can have have the same cast of characters as well as adding some new ones as well

Thanks again.
Ken

Hello Ken I pledged money from my jacket sale, please let me know when you recieve my check $225

On shipping do you have a dealer you deal with who can recrate in one of thier crates, maybe we could get BMG to help ship!!

Dez I also have some money coming to you for getting Jason to MOAB. Sorry for the delay but my brain is shot from all the work problems.

Kraig

Thanks Kraig,
The local Berg dealer is going to save me a crate. I will attempt to crate the bike myself to save money on the shipping.

Kraig,
I am appreciative of your generosity and I know that Ken is too.
I was very disappointed when you posted that you couldn't go on the Moab Force Ride. Even though you could not be there my truck wears a pair of your license plate frames with pride.
Several more regional rides are in the planning stages including a Reno area ride hosted by Bobzilla and of course the proposed Fall Force Return Ride in Moab being set up by Splat and maybe a meeting of the Southwestern Riders out in Ocotillo Wells. Tuts and I are always willing to have some of you visit us in 'Vegas. We made friends at Moab. It was a terrific experience and the beginning of some good stuff to come.
The Western US and Canada is huge, but guys came from all over it for this ride and everyone there was pleased that Taffy made it over to our side of the Pond too.
What I found especially good was that after the first day we all fell into groups of riders of comparable skill and had a great time. Excellent trail bosses and sweep riders. fantastic cooperation and fun.
OK Easterners, show us what you've got.

Dez
