Hi Taff...good to see you don't hold much on me for teasing you!!!

THere was a day when there was no berg racing, except WEC, for us to bicker about, now too much.. I know I dion't get much chatter about my cgrt stuff...and I guess I'm as guilty as any for not commnting to your posts as well.

I wish I were there, to not only cheer on Joakim, but my buddies, Cory and Bobby as well. Cory is going to Genoa in a couple weeks ? for the endurocross there. I hope its easier for him to adapt to teh open tracks than it was for Joakim to adapt to the tighter tracks here.

cheers

I'll try to do that more frequently..but so many things to do, so little time. Seems I'd rather post here than, there. Hope that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy!!!!

just how radical could you get with the husey in order to improve the bike and get results?

i think you know what i'm saying?

is it race it as supplied and only light touches, is it radical changes but keep stume or is it radical changes and pass them on and no secrets?

surely, it's a double edged sword?

knighter left because they wouldn't alter the bike the way he needed it doing; RADICALLY! so he was doomed to an inept season of indifferent results and thus the parting which i thought cost BMW? i'd have gone for a whole new frame and seen where it took me/the development.

last time, when mikka ahola raced the old model, he did quite a bit to the bike and without total detail he made it clear what he had done to it. quite a bit actually!

racing improves the breed (but not if you just diddle the clickers!)

regards

Taffy

Always a double edged sword, Taff, but eventually the news gets out. Most times in new product, sometimes a word gets slipped over a couple bevvies. Maybe BMW were pushed a little with DK leaving, as there were a ton of pics floating around of the new cases with the c/s ahead of the swingarm, adn also rumours of a std rotating clutch in that motor.

I would be inclined to think that DK was not just choked that they would not build him what they want, but simply because his results were poor. He is a guy that really hates to loose, and a weeks worth of testing just did not bring the results that he wanted.

I'm a little in the dark about where this conversation started Taff, quote me, maybe I can answer a little more directly...or maybe have some more fun with you!!

cheers

Lee

I guess Knight worked out his "grass is greener" moment (no pun intended) since he is right back with KTM for 2010.

yes, he wanted familiar ground and he knows the resources. I'm not sure what his deal is, but I'm assuming he is on a win bonus only, as he wanted the KTM deal really bad.

...basically looks like he has control of his own team, with all of his sponsors, and KTM factory backing. Riding a 530exc in WEC E3.

he's riding for what is basically the factory B team but will be getting full bikes.

think there is a bit of 'if your a good boy and behave this year you can come back into the fold next year'

as long as he doesnt piss anyone off this year expect to see him on the A team next year.

That is Joakim on the podium standing next to Taddy at the Genoa enduro cross...atta boy!

He took a 3rd behind Taddy and Ivan Cervantes. Well done.

So what happened to DK, I thought he was racing Genoa?

Joakim must have finally found his mojo..much better results.

I missed our Canadian in the results, I wonder what happened to him?

Also, did you see that Botturi is now on a Husaberg...very cool.

He'll be at the first Endurocross that Taddy isn't at :D Honestly, I didn't hear that he was supposed to race at Genoa.
