Of all the forums I visit, this thread has been the best entertainment I've had all week! And I had to go look up a bunch of new words using the urban dictionary... it's even improved my vocabulary! :lol:

..or maybe it's just "expanded" my vocabulary... I'm not sure any of the new words have improved much :lol:
 
Taff is good value I must agree. And if an Aussie and a Pom can't have a go at each other in fun, well thats a world I don't want to live in..... :p
 
a Pom? hmm... more words for me to go look up. The multi-cultural nature of "bergland" is turning out to be very enlightening I must admit! eh!

1. pom
Either comes from 'prisoner of mother England' or pomigranite - a reddish coloured fruit that native Australians (Aboriginals) thought had a similar colour to the skin of sunburnt Brits.
Not meant to be an insult (as some English think for some reason), merely a nickname for our less-tanned former rulers. Nicknaming everything is very Australian.
Pom: 'Oi, convict, get your **** stars off our flag!'
Aussie: **** off pom, get your **** cricketers off our cricket ovals and give us our ******* ashes - they've been ours since 1989!'

2. pom
A British person - or close equivalent to the species. Specialise in inventing sports and timing themselves on how long it takes before all of their former colonies can defeat them at it. Spelt P-O-M: the "Prisoner of Her Majesty" explanation is an urban legend, as is "Prisoner of Mother England", the other version of this common myth.

Australian insult for an Englishman.
Came from the beginning of the country, when the Englishmen got very badly sunburnt whilst sunbathing, turning their skin a similar colour of a Pomegranite, an exotic red fruit.
The Poms are crap at cricket.
 
Better look up "seppo" really quick, because we may get called that here very shortly.

A derogatory term for Americans, originally a word play on "yank" rhyming with septic tank, shortened to "seppo". The term became popular among the British and the Australians around the time of WWII, when American soldiers were staged in both respective countries on the way to battle in Europe and Asia. At the time, the populations of both countries greatly resented that the Americans were able to seduce their woman with such ease. Not having much recourse, they lashed out the only way they could, creating silly derogatory terms.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but something about that definition makes it seem like it was written by a seppo.
 
I'm really interested in the results of the cams mentioned here. I find my 400 to be fun and to have great traction but wish it had a little more pep at times.

would the 08 cam accomplish this?

Also is this 08 cam a bolt in or do you need other parts or mods to go with it?

by the word cheap used in these posts is it meant that the cam is low quality or just a good price?

Anyway I appreciate all the info from this site.
