when i start bike up it runs fine just when release the throttle revs drop and it stops ive tried the idler adjustment turner but ive found this doesnt make any difference weather screwed in or out any ideas thanks
I would clean out your carb jets, check the float level and check that the fuel tank breather is not clogged. More than likely its just the jets. You probably should do a complete carb rebuild because when you take the float bowl off the gasket will be a shriveled up piece of its former self. In fact all of the gaskets and O-rings will be in poor shape if the carb has never been rebuilt. I would buy the gasket kit and the needle and seat kit from Husaberg / KTM as it will be more complete than say a Moose aftermarket carb rebuild kit and you will know that it will have the correct seat size.
I don't think Taffmeisters has FCR rebuild kits but he does have some individual parts.
If the valves are out of adjustment (too tight) it could also create the inability to idle but it will / can also cause very hard starting or even no starting.
thanks for reply upon further investigation i found that the idle adjustment screw had been screwed right out at some time so reinstalled it and bingo its running sweet as nut
