What I want from a new Husaberg: to be innovative again!! They were the first to introduce a powerfull leightweight 4s but time has moved on and so has the competition. The newer engine is based on the old and hasn't changed that much but refinements and adjusments (which as such isn't bad but still!!) I read somewhere that Husaberg was the R&D in practice for KTM. But how come Husaberg gets the new parts much later then KTM, like carb and ignition for example.
I would like to see:
- a right hand kickstart, because this has become standard over the years. I heard R&D had one ready but weren't allowed to put it on the market.
- an MX-bike with DOHC
- enduro bike with injection.
- maybe something like compose your own bike with choice of special parts direct from the factory. Like rims-colors, bars-bends/shapes etc. Will cost a bit more but no one offers this
- Joel Smets racing a Husaberg in his final year
(and kick ***!!)
Now what I heard:
- new chassis, maybe aluminium but expected steel. Shaped like the steel Kawasaki types.
- indeed injection to meet new emission standards.
- injection will be put on the current engine
- new engine in 2008
- still no 250f ( I guess to let KTM earn their investment first as usual)
- KTM gets new engines, completely different then what they now have.
- KTM also gets a new chassis.
