I think that I'm the only one in CA even thinking about racing a Berg in supermoto. I'm sure no one is currently racing one in the STTARS or the Cal-spas SupermotoUSA series.

Now if I can just get the bike back together. My goal is the October STTARS round. The Yamaha is getting retired back to dirt duty.

Yup, you do want an FS650...

/unashamed plug on

Three years I've been harping on about motard on this site, and only now some of you are getting the message!!!!! :D :D :D

IMHO you really don't need to bother with the suspension to begin with. As, for example, I know someone who here in the UK was lapping only about 4 seconds a lap slower than the world championship riders had been - he was on a 450 Yam but with stock MX suspension - not bad eah?

Just get some small wheels and a larger front rotor and that should do you for the time being. With the 99 however, and IIRC you may actually need to buy the wider triple clamps to accommodate the wider rim.

Cheers,
Simon
