I need a good retort for some local berg bashers

Man if you call the exchange on your first thread a bashing, I hate to see the fetal position you will find yourself in when we really get into it.

You guys are pussycats, just look at the grimis on Daffys face while chugging a brew, log on to the AF1 forum where the real bikers get down and dirty. I used to gettiing bashed, it's just fake intimidation from those who are easialy intimidated. Yes I know I can't spell, so don't even go there.

i was wondering what we were going to do after froggy got the husky and quit posting all the ammunition. :sign2:

 (he said daffy)

Been a Berg rider for over 12 years now. Fort the last few years they're as reliable as any other enduro bikes on the market. Back in them there dark days it was a problem.

Mates who used to ride XR's, KLX, TT, KTM LC4, etc would always be laying crap on me about the Berg. I just used to say that if the Berg engine was made out of quarter inch plate steel and have enough oil to run a Mack truck like your bikes then mine would be F**kin reliable too.

It ain't a coincidence that when Honda went from lard arsed XR to CRF they had reliability problems too.

Just tell em to take a number. A stock 04, 05, 06,07,08 Berg 650smokes any other bike. Like a fully blinged crf 450 on methanol and big bore kit with aftermarket exhaust pluss porting etc with no expense spared $$$$$. I have seen it for real ......

words can't always describe why a Berg works so well...thats why I offer the nay sayers a ride on my Berg, then force them to ride it for at least 30 minutes. When they get back on thier pile of Jap crap, they usually puke when they realize how lame their bike actually works :)

I think the world is growing to appreciate Bergs. I spoke with a Baja tour guide a few months ago. I told him I have a 650 and he suggested that if I booked his tour he would put me on a Honda 650. He then proceeded to tell me that the Honda was a good bike even though it was not as light or as fast as the Berg. I was flattered by his efforts to convince me that a Honda would be an acceptable alternative to a Berg.

I also have a friend that collects dirt bikes. He tried to steer me away from Bergs a couple of years ago and suggested that I buy a Honda. He just picked up a 2002 FE 600 Berg for a steal and, after riding it, loves it.

If the critics remain critical, just roost em.

Dude, it is hard to educate a fool. And a group of fools is even worse. I occasionally get a "know-it-all" that tries to educate me with their misguided information. I am confident enough to set the record straight (I am an engineer, I know 'bergs very well (the good and the bad), am a raging enduro/ISDE fanatic, and can ride pretty well), so I educate them and occasionally let them ride my bike (so they have something to talk about).

Ever since buying my berg a few months ago all ive seemed to do is defend the brand.
All the local "experts" are telling me ive bought an unreliable heap and that i should have gone jap or orange.
My replies are usually uninspiring dribble like "There extremely light weight" or "There good value for money" etc etc

Ive not been in this game long and now some close friends are buying there first dirtbikes, im trying to convince them not to overlook the husaberg, but they've been poisoned by the non believers.

Next time i get an ear bashing from these ******, i want to be able to shoot em down with some good one liners

Any suggestions?

Husaberg's are like a Rembrandt or Picasso; the great unwashed need not apply.

When KTM brings out its first Gold Wing we'll see who's hardcore then.

Next to owning a Koenigsegg CCX this is the best high you can have.

KTM may be considered the Porsche of motorcycles, or Ducati's on the dirt, but compared to a Husaberg they might as well be a K car.

Honestly, though, enjoy your bike and ignore the rabble and that's the best "offense."

I've ridden the Husaberg SM and KTM SM back-to-back and there's no comparison. The Husaberg is the thoroughbred.
