Hi all,
I'm working on my DR-Z's suspension. Revalving the forks at the moment. Am using the Shim Restackor software package to simulate things.
Shim ReStackor, Finally software to tune a shim stack
It's quite cool - you input various mechanical and hydraulic properties of your suspension, measure up the valves and shims, and simulate. You get graphs of how the shims are moving and the damping force etc.
Rather interesting to look at the curves and try to figure out what in the bike's behavior is what. (The DR-Z is an interesting case - very wallowy bike. Good suspension components but undersprung and strangely damped - boats and pitches a lot.)
I was wondering - do any of you have measurements for Husaberg suspension internals? Or the opportunity to get them?
The user manual is kind of arcane, but this page shows how to measure the valves:
ReStackor Users Manual
Clickers and internal valving springs (e.g. checkplate spring, high-speed compression adjuster spring): ReStackor Users Manual
Pressurisation systems such as shock bladders:
ReStackor Users Manual
And the shim stack itself:

Any data would be most useful! If only tossing calipers on the cartridge, rod, and shims and then scanning in the valves. (Best to measure them up but a quick scan would reveal much! can be measured in Photoshop after the fact.)
