Did a re-grease & check on my head stem bearings a week or so ago, managed to hold the forks and pack grease into the bottom bearings and do the top bearing / whack a bit of extra grease into the head yube for good measure, so didnt actually remove the whole box and dice.
once I had it back together, with the tension nut on & had a chance to look over it, looking down the inside of the hollow head stem bolt, it appearde that there were slots on each side about half way along.
would this allow a quick shot of grease from the top (under the top clamp dome nut) to push some fresh grease into the steering head bearings?
havent done the swing arm axle yet, but noting that it appears to be hollow with plastic stopper caps in each end, could the same apply for the swing arm pivot greasing?
Ive had a fair crack at the doc, and it doesent appear that there is anythin like this, maybe someone else has seen what I'm talking about on an '05 or later model. (maybe i'm mistaken, it was 1am when I did the steering head).
