Gearbox problem on 400fe

the code is 16004 for that bearing mate. if you look at your photo of the selector and up near the top barb you'll see a slight change in the metal 2mm from the end. this is the first place to touch the plate.

a. How do I remove the old bearing? Cannot figure it out. Should I hit the pin sideways?

b. Please look at the attachment and tell me which number worries you.

Oh, and I have a great problem to unscrew the middle bolt. I cannot remove the selector plates. The bolt is way too tight. Any tricks?

the mark you made is spot-on!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is where they wear.

to undo the screw in the middle - i have only ever had one trick and that is to use a pair of mole grips AND a philips screw3driver.

You get paid when it works again!! Thanks a lot Taffy, I most possibly will order a new claw just to have one. Damn, I have to replace that bearing and I worry I will damage the clutch cover... Maybe I send it to a workshop...
