I would like to introduce myself as a new member to the group coming from Australia.
I have recently purchased off my brother in law a 2009 FE 570 and am looking for some help re some issues I bought it with.(Knowingly only paid $1200)

The bike will start and idle no problems, once I get on and ride it and fairly get up it Fuse 2 will blow. Once it sits for a while(10 Minutes) if I replace the fuse then it will start again and idle no problems. I have read other posts in this forum and see that there have been a lot of fuel pump issues so am thinking that it could be the same problem. Why though does it idle. I have checked a lot of the wiring, moved while it was idling and seems to be fine. Just before it stops the F1 light comes on.
If it is, where is Australia is the best place to get another fuel pump and are they difficult to install, what price. I thought it may be removed from the top of the tank, took the 4 screws out and fuel line/electrics but seems to still be attached at the bottom of the tank, is this correct? Is this the best way to access it.

Next question, it has a fairly serious oil leak coming out of the slave cylinder end of the clutch housing, under the chain guard, there is no o ring in here, should there be one. I have used a sealant around the housing but looks to me like it should have a oring. Would this be correct.
Any help would be much appreciated .

Thanks in advance

The slave should have a small gasket there, the countershaft seal is also prone to leak so keep an eye on that.

Cant remember what fuse 2 runs, if it is the fuel pump fuse then Id say thats your problem. The fuel tank needs to come off the bike, the fuel pump is attached to a holder which is screwed to the bottom of the tank. The one you can see is the pressure regulator/bulkhead arrangement.
There are a couple of good guides to be found on here.

FWIW

I am going to guess as mostly the pumps stop without fuse issues?? When the pump is under load (not at idle) it is having trouble pulling or pushing fuel, The pump heats up working hard and then the fuse does its job and breaks prior meltdown.

Check fuel flow to pump and from pump. Filter?

Oh and welcome to the forum :)
