When i lean my bike over to kick start it petrol leaks out off the pipes that hang below the engine towards the rear of the engine.
I have just purchased the bike and it is my first one and i dont know anything about them. I have only ridden it around the block since i got it yesterday.

I came home today and took it out off the garage which was very hot due to the sunny weather, i leant it over to kick start it and petrol started leaking out of the pipes under the engine. then i started it and it stopped leaking, when i turned it off and left it for a few minutes i then went to start it again and it done it again. Is this a big problem?
what might be causing it?

any ideas help greatfully welcomed.
thanks steve.

either quit leaning it over or lower the float level a hair.

Float stuck i would bet check under float needle maybe something keeping it open (dirt .hair).

ditto

have the float bowl off and look for snagging. also undo the phillips head screw and remove the float assembly, pull out the valve and check around. consider even buying a new one?
