yesterday I got the first run on the dyno with my 2005 FS 650. The bike had only 0,8 hours on the meter when I ran it, so I assume the numbers will increase after 15-20 hours.
I will post the graph in my gallery when during the week when I got a scanner. The figures is 59,2 hp and 60,1 kg. Its seems like the decrease of 16 ccm have not taken the top end power.

The first look at the graph against the 2004, seems to be a little weaker low end power but at the top end it has over 50 hp over a longer range of rpm than the 2004. This is only the first study, so this must not be consider a fact until I got the graphs from both the 04 and 05 on the same shet

Since they shortened the stroke, you would expect a decrease in the lower rpm power. It would be a worthwhile trade off for a longer higher powerband. The reduction in the intake valve size would limit the upper rpm's, but would also increase the velocity of the intake mixture which could contribute to the increase in power in the midrange. Sounds like a good trade. You don't need to spin at 13,000 rpm anyway, so why not use a smaller valve, increase h.p. and extend the engine life.

Now it's up to you to put it on the podium. :D

to botta;
is that SAE pk or DIN pk?
my 2004 had 59,5 SAE pk at 7300rpm.

At what rpm you have max power output?
thanks.
