Possibly a ccounterbalancer bearing issue.
The noise sounds like a roots type blower sitting on top of a big block chevy. Loud as hell, but the bike will run just fine. One bike I know of ran for a couple of years that way.
you're all wrong....
it's from the starter sprague assembly. remove that lot, start the bike, noise gone.

After installing new sprague bearing and gears it started to whine that way ,but when i mix outer and inner older gears with new sprague bearing it is not whining just rattles.
So what is normal or better? :roll:
