Guys,

I am reasearching a business oportunity and need some info, I need 5 or 6 enduro bikes that can be changed to Supermoto bikes relatively quickly. I did this with my FE650 and managed to obtain a decent balance between the suspension requirements. I think if i go the husaberg route then I'll go for FE450's. I need these to be reliable but they will be serviced after every trip and have oil and air filter changed every 2 days during trips(probably about 150 miles per day max) My heart says go with the 'berg my head tells my go with honda's of suzuki's.:) )

These will be used in spain and north africa will the 450's be up to 3 days hard riding off road and then being thrashed in Sm trim for a couple of days?

Whats the cheapest place to buy new bikes in europe?

Anyone know a good english speaking dealer in Spain?

the 450 has put husaberg back at the top of the pile and they're more than enough for most people. last years ('04) had an electrical 'common fault' that got cleared up as the year went on.

huseys are very easy to work on and can be maintained very quickly. spares in the UK are easy to get but i'm sure that there is a hot mainland europe dealer (euros) who can get stuff to you in 48 hours etc.

so i think that they would be a good choice for '05. if anything a 450 enduro is too much for a novice. the ktm 200exc's are still the best and as for four strokes i would be tempted to go with the DR400e enduro bikes which offer the best powerband and reliability on the market.

Uk is very expensive but andorra is said to be cheapest place in europe followed by belguim.

the husabergs devalue fast but they're still the lightest and best set up RACEBIKES from the crate you can buy!

KTM have now started making the 400 again just for your kinda market.

good luck

Taffy

Thanks Taffy,

The bikes won't ridden by novices, (I'll probably have a couple of older DRZ's for them)I was toying with the fact of trying to buy left over 04 models when the 05's are out as it would soften the depreciation hit.

Out of interest has anyone tried to rally raid an FE450??

i'm going to be lazy here and just say that there are links to the left of your screen to the actual husaberg site. on there you'll find that someone won the tunisian rally last year on a 400 i believe.

Taffy

Cheers I'll go and look, I know a 501 won the El chott last year, good to know the 450 is keeping up the tradition.. :D
