10 minets in to my ride I get a nasty screech/wine. Its only where I can't trotle it. I thinks it from being low on coolent. It came with some realy realy light green stuff in it. Can I just add a little green coolent ?

Start it put helmet on open gate and ride away slowly so not piss off neighbors.

well not pissing of neighbours is the reason why I first open gate, than start it :D

I did like no warm-up yesterday, 10 to 20 seconds 1/4 throtle, then on it. No wine. I broke the chain slide gaurd on the swingarm, the top half is gone and the bolt is still there. It was ripping, sweet.

i start mine on the choke and leave it on choke till it pops from unburnt fuel, click it off and let it idle for a minute or so then ride it easily for couple of kms, i leave it on choke for the initial startup so the revs are higher so that the oil pressure is circulating nice as the engine is cold and need lubricating.

On a cold day I start it and let it idle for 30 seconds to a minute while I put on my gloves and such. Then I ride away slowly, increasing speed and throttle as the bike warms up.

On a warm day I start it and ride away slowly, again warming up while riding.

I go out to the garage and turn on the space heater to warm up the engine.

Come back eat, get washed up, and get gear on.

Start the Swede on Cold Start, takes two to five stabs at the button, and let her run while I put on helmet and gloves and close garage.

Living in the city noise tends to be less of an issue but I don't believe in pounding on my bikes until everything gets warmed up and rolling, a couple blocks.

This is for 30F and below 8)

Just because it's cold doesn't mean you can't have fun. Heck! Look at those skiers!

Cheers!
