Howdy folks. I haven't owned a dirt bike in over 30 years. Today is my birthday(51st) and a buddy just gave me a 1998 501 FE. I'm looking forward to many years of enjoyment, from it. In my "spare" time, I like to hunt, fish, and dredge for gold.

Hi Polecat, I'm another displaced Texan in Colorado, with a a Husaberg. i have a 2011 FE 390 and live near Durango. Let me know if you live in this area. (Post another message to "Husageezer.")
 
Congrats polecat,
You have a State there that is rich in dirt biking heritage and backwoods beauty for riding. Used to run out to the top of the rockies rally in Paonia on an 1100GS, and somewhere in the woods there is a small town that had great KTM/Husa support network. KTM USA rally there every now and again where you find like minded thumper heads of the Euro persuasion. Good times.
