coolest is modified stock 
if you want to look fancy at the coffee shop look at silmotor, doma and akrapovic
some of them are twin systems.. one pipe and silencer for each exhaust valve.

Doma do one, silmotor do one and there were a couple of people who posted they have an akra twin system.
in addition to new ones try looking on blokart, ebay, ktmtalk classifieds and advrider
if you want a real buzz remove the endcap entirely ..you will need earplugs

I would think that riders do not want to add weight and spend money unnecessarily on their machines exhaust.
Most sport bikes that come with a 2 muffler system have aftermarket hi-po 1 muffler alternatives that are lighter and add power.
I look at it like this. Think of adding 8 small mufflers to deal with 4- 250cc-ish cylinders on a sport bike.
