I'm trying to install a clutch from a 2002 model on my 2002 model. It is a Revloc, but that is beside the point.

The problem is, that the outer basket won't fit over the needle bearings that are on my clutch shaft. Everything else looks fine. The hole in the basket on my bike is 29mm, and the one on the Reloc (and the other 2002 bike) is 28mm.

I'm assuming my bike is a later 2002 model and the other bike was an earlier one, so mine probably got a newer style clutch (all the other dimensions and gears fit correctly).

My question is this: Did Husaberg fit a larger clutch shaft to the late 2002/2003 bikes, or did they just use different (larger) needle bearings. If it's just the needle bearings that are different, my problem would be solved by just getting the 2001 - early 2002 bearings (which would be 25mm id and 28mm OD, from what I can tell).

Anyone have a 2001- early 2002 basket lying around to measure the inner diameter of the hole?

i think the needle rollers were the same but it's worth pointing out that they used a bush just a couple of years before. did you get new parts?

So you think if I can't find needle bearings that are 25mm id and 28mm od, that I may get away with a brass bushing in there? Maybe I'll just order the parts for a 2001 and see what comes in.
The parts aren't new, it's Tuts' old Revloc.

The 01's used a bushing, the 02's a bearing. I have an 01 clutch sitting in the front seat of my truck. I will measure it for you tomorrow morning.

Ok thanks berger, I'd appreciate that. I've been looking through bearing catalogs, and it looks like a caged needle bearing with the dimensions I'm looking for might be non-existent. If your '01 basket is 28mm, I'll just order an '01 bushing.
