having checked two motors out i'm now convinced that we need to run the blade as farfrom the outside wall as possible. that way the middle of the chain (rollers) track the raised lip perfectly.
that still leaves this question of where should the pressure point be?
at the moment its right up near the pivot and creates enormous pressure. is there any need for it? surely a powerful spring and less leverage is good whilst a strong spring (such as we have) should be for a contact point halfway along its length (the middle?)
