In fact, according to my Mom (who had one) they were bred as lap dogs.
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel I believe.

That's the wifes mongrel. It barks at other dogs to protect the goat and the goat wont sleep without the dog there. Heard that lap dog story, sounds correct to me, it just loves laying around.
