Hi Jedi,

I was wondering when we here in North America can expect availability of the 2005 model berg's?? Especially the FE550E.

Thanks,

Dale

I think we have to wait (again) untill KTM loses a bit more off their orange stock  The 05 KTM's are turning up at every dealer. But I did hear from several dealers that sales were soo low last year that they won't keep much in stock.

Barett is hosting their 05 demo ride for dealers this weekend. Hopefully the bikes will be coming soon.

All 2005 models will be available begining Spetember 15.

This past weekend we had one of each model for our dealer event. They are now spread out to thoe dealers.

Hi Jedi,

Thanks for the info. Does that mean that the 2005 models will be ready for shipping on 9-15-04? I'm ready for a new steed and am a little anxious.

Thanks again for all your support of the Husaberg owners.

I rode a new 550. The bike runs well, lean jetting to pass Cali requirements. A richer needle and perhaps pilot jet will net more power, actually monster torque. The power was similar to the 04 550 that I was riding, the only difference being in the suspension. The dampening was stiffer on both ends. Std fork springs are the same as last year so faster, heavier riders are rewarded. The rear went to a straight 80 wt spring.

I didn't get enough time to tweak the bike to see how much better the stk legs were than my set up suspension, but the package definitly seems ridable/racable. The speedo was changed to a sleek unit used on the &$%s, apparently resettable etc and more versatile.

Overall the bike looked more finished. For example a rubber loop is provided to hold the kickstand up so it does not whip around.

As more of them hit the shores we will hear more no doubt, as well I will try and post some of my thoughts on the bike when I get my rental unit in Poland.

Hi Fryguy,

Thanks for the info, but, I decided I couldn't wait............ I took BMG up on their offer of 10% off an 04 FE550E. It doesn't seem like there is a whole lot of changes to the 05's, and hopefully I can upgrade my new 04 bike with the changes to the 05's. The side stand rubber loop thingie would be a great help in keeping it under control while riding.

So how has your 04 been to you?? Anything I should know about?? Seems like the fuel inlet to the carb is a little close to the exhaust, any trouble there?? I'm going to put the closed course jetting in, and after break-in will have the susupension tuned by Clean Racing here in So Cal.

I've had pretty good luck with my 01 501, and any problems I've had, Husaberg has taken care of them. Since I have a license plate for my 01, I was thinking of putting the FS rear hub on it, and the motard wheels to go and have some fun on Angeles crest, or to ride to work and back occasionally. Either way it will be nice to have two bikes, so I'm never out of a ride!!

Hey I want to wish you the best of luck in Poland. What an opportunity, to go and ride the six days!!

Thanks again for the info,
