I bought a new foam air filter- No Toil. Looking at it in the packaging, it looks smaller than my stock foam. I can't tell for sure, but I don't want to open the package and not be able to return it. I don't want a smaller filter- my jetting is spot-on, and I don't want to mess with it, and I believe a smaller filter make require rejetting.

Anyone know the No Toil foam filter size versus stock? All the air filter pics on the 'net use a stock photo, so the actual filter looks nothing like the pics I've found.

I have one of those. It looked kind of small when I bought it. It took some stretching to get it on the cage.

I use it occasionally if I don't feel like cleaning the others yet.

I believe it's for earlier dual filter bikes.

A stocker air filter is about 10" long (254 mm). Its ouside girth at the big end is 6" (not measuring the bottom)

they did make a smaller version for the earlier Husabergs from the late nineties. check the part number on the packet or receipt and try and cross reference it?

then you have standard and then finally there are these huge things that look like a horses condom on a bloke....

I still prefer standard.... :D :D

Part number = NO-TOIL 260-04.
It's "made" for my model, but I can't find a decent pic on the web of it. I looked at it again in the bag last night, but I really can't tell since it's folded a bit, and the bag isn't transparent. I'm going to email No Toil and see if they know.

False alarm. I took the No Toil out of the bag, and it's pretty much the same size as the stock filter. Maybe slightly wider, and not quite as long, but it shouldn't matter.
