my 96 husa 501 fe has a popping and hesitation at low speeds and also after a longer ride at higher speeds.full throttle is no problem till it heats up then it will not idle at all.a 10-15 minute cool down and it will fire right up then the above happens all over again.the exh is sealed with rtv silicon at the head.i am thinking it is jetted to light on the idle jets?? mid to full throttle is all balls to walls power!! but slow speeds trails are a no-no.any advice on what to look for from any husa experts out there?

i am no expert but it seems that :

1.you may have the idling system intake hole blocked with some garbage or some oil from the head breather.

2. idling jet blocked or too big

3. mixture screw not adjusted properly

4. low idling rpms (proper is about 1600rpm)

5. worn carb (especially if it is a vhsb)

6. wrong float height

7. there must be something that i can't think of!!!

please post your jetting and type of carb
