Well Taffy, call me crazy dutchie, but what use was the cable, wich is connected to the kickstartaxle and to the decolever on the cilinderhead?
The first owner removed this cable, just like i did on my older Husky's, so i only have the handdeco and with this the bike starts good:)

p.s. we're talking about a FE 501 1990

All I care is the bike starts fairly easy hot or cold. Hoping Taffy modded auto-decomp and FCR carb handle this issue.

well eric, if you have larger valves fitted you will space them further apart OK?

if they are further apart that means the two fingers on the rocker arms are set further apart.

then you have to have a different part number you see?

now the early husabergs didn't have ANY auto decomp OK?

I sell a modified spring to go with the 2004-8 auto decomp weight.

so now we see:
"BOTH CAMS - IF THEY TAKE AN adc WILL WORK STRAIGHT OFF THE BAT"

then:
"WITH THE MODIFIED adc AND SPRING FROM LATER YEARS"

now I know you know what a bat is coz you play a girls game called "rounders" so no excuses now!

regards

Taffy

Now I get it.

So we spend of millions of dollars building grandiose stadiums to watch grown men play a school girls game. I never would of thought.

oh yeh!!!!

ask any hair brained baboon down the pub and he'll tell you that baseball is rounders/soft ball, that basketball is really netball and that american football is really rugby (this time though it is true!)

all good stuff!

Taffy

I like this kind of "comments":giggle:

Originally I just wanted the bar MT. manual decomp, but since Taffy is in the know I decided to opt. for his modded auto-decomp instead of trying to hunt down all the extra parts.

The magician of OZ has struck again:D
The experience with starting the husky's TE 510 and 610 i owned, was so easy that i could start as well by hand!!
Though i never tried the FE 501 to start by hand.
Tomorrow, i hope, it will come to life after 6 months restoration:) i only have to be cautios, because i have a double neckhernia and my right arm is "out of action".
In a short while i have surgery for this problem, but before that,i want to hear the old guy running again:)
