gone back to the std 08 forks and shock on my 08 450, been using wds for 2 years so need a bit of advice on setup.
the forks are std 08 with 5.0 springs fitted, the shock is std with the hardest Ti spring you can get fitted, think its a 92, i'm 6'5" and about 135kg fully kitted up(big) ride in mid wales which is lots of ruts and some fast dry stoney clims and decents, lots of mud. what do you think.

what did you think of the WDS ?

they say its 9kg lighter than stock, i don't think thats possible since both the stock front forks together only weigh 9kg

Just switched ride to a New 2008 FE450, $ 5400 CAN. I used to have a WR250F 2005 , it was a great bush bike but sometimes under powered , mainly I ride Vedder mountain in Chilliwack ,some hope nickel mine. Mountains, mud, hill climbs, single track, roots and rocks. Great stuff. check it out on you tube , any ways I tried riding the FE450 stock but found it way to harsh for the riding i do , so now I’ve set the front forks to 6 comp. and 6 rebound and turned 1/16 click back on upper fork nut . and the rear shock I’ve gone 6 comp. and 5 rebound I haven't tried it yet but hitting the logs and rocks head on should feel like a marsh mellow, still waiting to insert JD jetting found the bike has a bit of a bog at low throttle . I added an overflow bottle for radiator guarentees, covered the head pipe with heat cloth and a heat shield from my WR.

RE WORKED SECOND RIDE , NOW 8 ,8 ,8 AND 6 AND PUT IN JD JET KIT , RED NEEDLE, 182 ,42 2 -1/2 TURNS out , BETTER,NO BOG AT HIGHER ALTITUDES.

So far I think the bike is fxing powerful, and somewhat nibble,
AFTER 3rd ride 45 km and some difficult trails ,'' Meat Grinder ,Stairway ,and goat trails '' the bike handled great .
the rear suspention maybe just a little more tweeking , going to forks 7,7,and shock 7,5 on the clickers , and 1.75 turns out .
easy to adjust with new stealth mix screw.
