Either the lectron or the smartcarb are light years better than the keihin (which actually isn't a bad carburetor). I've ridden a few bikes with the lectron and have owned a smartcarb (36mm billet). I'm picking up a '12 ktm 300xcw in the next two weeks and plan to put one of the two carbs on the bike.
