I recently bought a super low hour FE390 from a guy it had been sitting for about 2 years with old gas in it. I went though and removed all the old gas took the injector out and cleaned it up, ride like a dream for about 3 minutes when it just shut off. I could smell fuel so I took the seat off and the air filter and when I bumped the starter it was gushing fuel from the injector for probably 5 to 7 seconds. Do these injectors go bad from sitting? I ordered a new one so we will see, any help would be appreciated…thanks.
 
I’d be surprised if the injector itself is leaking. I would check the fuel hose and clamps. One of mine recently started leaking from the hose and I was able to order a new oem hose. If you don’t have the tool for the oetiker style crimp clamps, you can pick up some fuel injection rated clamps from an auto parts store or a place like Summit Racing in the correct size.
