Yes, you read it right! Sutto's will be having a come and ride day for customers on the 26th of October at Clarence MX Complex. You will have to contact the store on 02 47311173 to reserve your spot to demo ride the New 2009 Husaberg (and 2009 KTM bikes) we will have 2 loops, 1 will be a MX lap and the other will have enduro terrain. Interest through the store is overwhelming so get in early to avoid disappointment.
Looking forward to seeing you guys out there.
Best Regards
Sutto

...and, ... mr Sutto sir,... how would one twist your arm to bring the Berg over to KI for a test ride?

free holiday for your family and you? name it ...

hope the test ride is a success.

Azza.

Opportunity knocks.

How excellent is it to see a proactive dealer making an effort to educate and promote interest. Good on you Sutto.

Last year saw opportunity to test all the KTM range for another website, and from expert rider to trailrider the six testers all shared the same view, that it was the most educational day they had ever had with regards to understanding the bikes, suitability to terrain, and riding styles.

I dont believe there are many opportunities to be involved in a test day such as this. Sort of a psuedo mag test pilot. Every mag, internet site, and forum is filled with "what is this bike like", or "what bike should i buy" type questions. this type of dealer promoted day is just the answer - ride them for yourselves and make up your own mind.

Also having the KTM and Berg able to be ridden back to back will give a comparison that has been the topic of much conversation. With both bikes having some of the same parts (including the WP PDS), what has changed to make the Berg worthy of all the recent hype. I'm not talking about engineering and design mods, but bums on seat rideability changes. Should be an extremely interesting exercise. I'm excited. :D

Its obvious from the start that these bikes are going to kill KTMs sales, once they up production . From the start KTM has had problems with their new engine design ,ie ,crank seal issue , & I beleive from recent posts on KTM talk its still not fixed .Looking at the new engine you can clearly see it will hold more oil for reliability . the head design how ever is all KTM , these have proven reliable so far. As a motor type of guy I can see plenty of pluses with this new motor
People are looking for something different & I think that with Husabergs recent improvement in reliability they may pull a lot of KTM buyers accross .
I for 1 have put a deposit on 1 as you know . Ive been a staunch KTM rider since 1983
But I bought them for reliability & that confidence isn't there anymore .
The other reason Im getting 1 is because they look so nice , my wife says Im mumbling Husaberg in my sleep , & I think the handling will be stable like the 08 bergs but will feel lighter & turn better

Faktor,

I think I recall you had some issues with your Berg, so totally understand any pessimism.

I for one though believe that there are very few lemons in the modern dirt bike market. Leaving aside bias for Berg or any other brand, but all models and manufacturers have specific issues. Bikes are after all mechanical beasts, with lots of moving parts, and largely thet cop a hammering.

I think you would agree that manufacturer response is most important, and I believe sincerely that this is where the media machine falls down. The more responsible the manufacturer, and more public they are with the problems, the more flack they cop.

This year is an exciting time for Husaberg, and its followers. I feel the same way as i did with KTM in 98, and look how they have exploded (excuse any unintended pun!!!). I still love the KTM's too, its just that i like the uniqueness of the Berg.

What Sutto is doing with the Berg Demo day is the publicity that i believe hasn't been there over recent years. Never before has Berg recieved the publicity it is currently getting. Two years ago most would not have even heard of the brand. Now it is front cover quite regularly. Here in Oz only two Bergs (that i am aware of) competed in the A4DE, Suttos sponsored rider, and the Factory pilot. I feel good things coming, and for one, am really hoping guys like Sutto and Gunter get rewarded for their long term, and often undervalued, support for the Berg.

Cant wait to see your blinged berg Mickj, carbon fibre and all.

There was a number of bergs in the oz safari this year, i think only one dnf'd, if there is a race that will kill a bike it's the safari. I used my 550 on a rallye up in queensland a couple of months ago and it just kept going. For me i reckon the next few years are going to be huge for the brand.

Sure did see

Our 650's came 10th, 11th and 20th outright, as well as our 4th rider in the top 15 and climbing up the ladder until injury put him out on day 4.

All 4 of our 650's ran like trains the whole event............no issues.

The Safari is an engine killer, just ask all the WR, EXC, KLX and CRF guys that had blown motors, blown main bearings, top ends go etc. Every day there was engine rebuilds happening somwhere in the paddock with the other brands

Anyone Signed up for the Sutto's Demo day? Its at one of NSW premier MX tracks with an enduro loop right beside it.

Will anyone carry out the ultimate act of betrayal - walk away with a KTM deposit reciept???

Ozberg are trying to get another freebie, I know your thinking of a new bike, keep this up and Sutto will give you one!!

I'd be there, but I get my knee reconstruction on 17/10, so.............

Hey Medog, behave yourself. Suttos too tight so wouldn't work anyhow

Nah, really just trying to promote a good idea. I'm already going so nothing to gain really, except letting the masses know about it. Not sure how widespread this concept is in the Northern end of the world, but it is an initiative here. Don't hear of demos on the dirt too often - usually it is tar based tests from a shop.

Might even see you there? Is an 09 on the cards?

Time slots are filling fast for the Demo Day! If you are going to come along you have to book in (02 47311173) otherwise you will miss out. We are excited about the day as this is something no other dealer has taken on by themselves. Looking forward to seeing alot of the Husaberg brotherhood there.
Best Regards
Sutto

You blokes that want to Demo the '09 had better get a move on as there is only 5 time slots left for the Berg if I cannot secure another bike!
Call us to book in.
Best Regards
Sutto

Hey Sutto

Are you taking 450's and/or 570's to the demo ride??

Coops

Hi Mate,
No only a 450 for the time being, but would love to have the big girl there too! I'll see what I can do though.
Look forward to seeing you there.
Best Regards
Sutto

Sutto

A little birdie told me the 09 demo is on the floor in your shop today, I just wanted to know why are you on the internet when you should be out playing on the new toy, I bet every man and his dog has been in there looking at the thing, you should charge a viewing fee
Have fun riding it next week, we are all jealous!!

Well boys, you will be able to see the weapon at the shop on Thursday when I'm back from the Dealer ride this Tues/Wed....it is very sexy!
Regards
Sutto
