Just a heads up to let you know that the 08s seem to be jetted fairly close out of the box. Last years were way too lean with the OBDVT on #3 and a 38 pilot.

This years have the DVR on #5 and a 40 pilot. I still like a 42 pilot, but they are pretty close.

That would partially explain why the 08's do not meet California off road emissions standards, hence a red sticker.

The main reason as I understand it, for the 08's not being green sticker legal is that they don't have twin walled fuel tank, or one that is sealed to eliminate vapors passing throught the tank.

The settings that are present on Scott's bike are those found in previous owners manuals for closed course settings. AKA non green. My guess is that they figured that since they weren't going to go to the effort of making the correct fuel tank they might as well ship the bike with jetting that makes it run better.

I had the dealer put that jetting spec in my 04 before I picked it up.

As mentioned, the tank is the reason why all the KTMs and Bergs are red sticker for 08.

All the KTM's??

All the KTMs with the exception of the EXC street legals are red-sticker for 08 and will be for 09 unless they get this tank problem sorted out.

The plan is to have the 09 Berg street legal but they are having problems getting the tank to pass emission tests and it may end up as off-road/red sticker for 09.
