Nice article...seem very honest...but that was allways my impression with ADB reviews :)

...i noticed one thing..."substantial upgrades for '07...' ...i wonder what they will be...new frame and/or plastics and/or...engine ?!?

I dont share your views about ADB Shootouts.
They seem to wear Orange Jocks :)

You see last years 05 550 is really no different engine wise (which is what they are raving about) than the current 06. The only difference being the oil filler moved and the suspension will have had minimal changes. And they rated it 4th I think last year in the shootout.

The only real thing that changed from last year is ADB finally have some different test riders. And they happened to like the Bergs power and handling.

I guess i was making confusion with other magazine(s)...anyway,

...i just remembered, possibly the main upgrade for '07 will be...EFI ?!?

KTM AFAIC can use Hsb for test EFI :)

Infact i doubt that Hsb changes plastics (they changed for '06...they could however make black alternative plastics) frame or even engine (i like the single came but they could remove the balancer and/or reinforce crankshaft...i wonder if there are still bearing failures related with the balancer design), so im starting to believe that EFI could be the major upgrade !

hi there, I liked the article a lot as well, but I think that maybe it was just a matter of lets help ktm sell the xs bikes from last year and help with the late start of 06 bikes. They did pick up that the swingarm is longer and contributes to stable handling etc.

I think that maybe efi is on the cards and if that is the case then it may be possible to see fuel tank pushed down lower again.

We should see the 07 bikes in November at the isde should we not?

It is time for husaberg to pull the rabbit out of the hat again. Whatever it is it will be good. As A said, it is my understanding efi allows the fuel to be kept below the intake as it works on using a pump not gravit. Am I right here? Fuel weight makes a big difference. On the old bikes when you had only 4.5 litres or less fuel centred and low the bikes would really do the singl track stuff so good.

Yeah I guess Berg need to come out with some new innovations surely there is more than just EFI that they could do? Anyone have any ideas etc?
