2006 FE450 carb jetting

As I posted earlier, make sure your pilot jet's CLEAN. And while your at it, check all the vent hoses for blockage or melted spots..

If my pilot jet was clogged would it idle and start perfect?
I did notice the vent hoses hanging under the engine are rough looking. I'll check them!

Yes, if the idle was turned up to compensate.
I know, your probibly pulling your hair out right now, but start with the basics- clean all the jets, check for vacuum leaks, restricted hoses, dirty air filter, float level, etc.
After your satisfied that everythings clean, valves are in spec and have good spark, then start messing with the ac pump & other stuff.
The bike was running ok before, correct?
Heck, it could even be bad gas. I always run chevron high octane. One time I fueled up with the crap gas from the corner station, both our (The boss rides too) bikes ran like crap. Cleaned the carbs on both, went through everything, still ran like crap. Dumped the gas, went back to Chevron- problem solved.

I got the bike with with very low miles and like new. Its acted this way since I got it.
I've read guys with Keihins doing all sort of mods to fix the bog.
After looking at the KTM, I'm starting to think the ac pump is squirting too long, the KTM gives a nice squirt as quick as you blip the throttle its done, and my Husy ac pump just keeps squirting for another 2-3 seconds.
I'm going to try to block the ac pump stroke and try it if so the BK mod may be what it needs.

Called the local KTM dealer said my carb is plugged up cause it sat for 6 years and only had 200 miles.

I dont mind pulling the carb and cleaning it if I thought that was the problem, is there a way to tell if its the carb before doing all the work for nothing???

This bike runs fine except for the bog, why is there all the BK/Oring mods etc......??

Pulled the carb! Dropped the bowl and it was very clean inside. Removed the jets and blew air thru them and all the passagess every thing seems fine in the carb. Gonna put it back on for a try and then its off to the KTM dealer for a quick look.

KTM mechanic looked at it and thinks the ac pump diaphram is weak and not squirting strong enough shot the second you blip the throttle. It does flow a decent stream for 3-4 seconds.
He said I could try to wire the ac pump lever to the throttle screw or an adjustable leak jet. Just as easy to fix it right with a new diaphram.
Any recommended ac diaphram to get???

I did notice a couple guys saying about adjusting the squirt just missing the slide, with the ap timing adjusted all the way the squirt wont hit the slide, so that seems to me the diaphram isnt squirting at the very beginning of the movement.

Ordered a new diaphram and a power pump spring, I'll post up if it fixes the bog or not.

Finally got the ap diaphram in and while I was at it installed a stiffer spring, that was it, runs great no bog off idle!
